We are so happy that the start of the school year means seeing our friend Henry again!  Henry, a two and a half year old Portuguese Water dog, started working in Emma’s class last April.  Henry, who loves to swim and spend time at the beach, is also a sweet dog who turned out to be very smart and easy to train.  His owner, Marion, wanted to be able share him with others, so she began to train him for the therapy dog test – and last year, at only 18 months old, he passed!  After that, it was just a matter of getting in touch with the staff at Camphill and he was soon one of our favorite volunteers.

Henry has been spending time with the students in the classroom, and some students even get to take him for walks as a special treat.  “It has been a wonderful experience for us,” said Marion.  It has been wonderful for us, as well!
