Giving Tuesday 2024

We’re excited to announce that The Camphill School will once again join the #GivingTuesday celebration on Tuesday, December 3rd! Our goal is to raise $40,000 for the Ember and Woodledge renovations. With your support, our students will create lasting memories, build friendships, and grow in ways that will shape their futures.

🌟 “We call The Camphill School Meg’s ‘Heaven on Earth.’ It is a school where she is completely accepted, and she can comfortably be herself surrounded in nurturing love with a focus on her strengths. Camphill has allowed Meg to blossom into the young lady she is today.” 🌟

Meg’s story is a beautiful example of the transformative power of a community that nurtures individuality and celebrates strengths. At The Camphill School, students thrive academically, socially, and personally in an environment tailored to their needs and talents.

💛 This Giving Tuesday, help us continue creating a “Heaven on Earth” for students like Meg. Every donation helps build futures filled with opportunity, growth, and joy.

In 2019, Jett’s journey led his family to The Camphill School. His mom, Aubrey, shared:

“Camphill has brought him from the shadows of where he was before and back into the sunshine. To say we are grateful is an understatement. The future is bright!”

Join us for an exclusive tour of the newly renovated Craft House at The Camphill School! A space that once struggled to meet its purpose has been transformed into a vibrant, functional, and accessible hub for creativity and learning. Discover the new features that are empowering our students, including:

🪵 A spacious woodshop for hands-on learning

🧵 An expanded weavery with ample storage

🍶 A pottery studio with a stand-alone kiln room and outdoor clay space

🚪 ADA-accessible upgrades for inclusivity

🌳 A courtyard and patio for gathering and showcasing student art

Thanks to the generosity of early donors, this milestone in our Building for a Lifetime campaign was completed in October 2023. Watch to see how these changes are already making a difference and learn how you can help us continue building brighter futures for our students.

Today, we celebrate the power of community. Alumni students Laura and Elisabeth captured it beautifully:

“Let’s put it this way – you were never really familiar with the aspect of the word community. We never really gave it much thought because we just thought about community meaning a town or a city or a township – like local kind of thing. But in a deeper meaning of the word, community is more than that. I don’t think the word ‘community’ makes the average person think about the ‘life-living’ that we do here. But when you think about it, we are not only people that live close to each other, we are also each other’s main backbone, as corny as that sounds.”

This Giving Tuesday, let’s honor the incredible connections formed at The Camphill School. Your generosity helps us continue to create a nurturing environment where students grow, thrive, and experience the true meaning of community.

Step into the heartwarming stories of three couples from different generations who met, fell in love, and built their families at The Camphill School. In this special video, they reflect on their lives in community, sharing how Camphill shaped their journeys and the values they’ve passed on to their children. As part of our Building for a Lifetime campaign, their stories remind us of the enduring impact of community and the spaces we create together. Join us in supporting this mission and help us continue to provide a home where connections, growth, and memories flourish.

We are Building for a Lifetime

Your support renovated the Craft House – and now we need your help with Woodledge and Ember
We offer you the opportunity to bring the warmth of hearth and home to our students as The Camphill School Builds for a Lifetime. We appreciate your generous support on #GivingTesuday and throughout the year!
These two houses, built in the early 1970s, are in need of more space for students and resident staff as well as vital upgrades, including ADA accessible common spaces and bathrooms.
This project will also add a wing to accommodate two resident staff apartments – one for a family and one for a retired couple. The new wing will enable students to have single or double rooms while providing intergenerational living that is at the heart of Camphill.
