Ways to Give

Annual Gala

Each year, with help from volunteers, local businesses, and our community, The Camphill School hosts a festive evening to increase awareness of the work we do with children and youth and to raise funds in support of our mission.

Our signature fundraising event, the Camphill Gala, has raised over $3 million dollars since its inception. The Gala features dining, dancing, and auctions all in support of our students.

For more information please contact Sarah Downs at sdowns@camphillschool.org or 610.469.9236 x133.

The Camphill School’s life-sharing economic model, where long-term volunteers care for children and young adults enables us to keep our tuition lower than many other schools for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Even full tuition, however, cannot cover 100% of our costs. We depend on contributions from friends, parents, grandparents, other family members, corporations, and foundations to fulfill our mission.

A gift to The Camphill School makes a difference in the life of a student and these things possible:

  • Tuition assistance for students
  • General operations of the school
  • Maintenance and improvement of our homes, educational, and therapy buildings

The Camphill School is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our EIN is 23-1443766. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You always should consult your attorney or tax/investment professional before making any kind of charitable contribution.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Spring 2024

Are you crafty? We need a volunteer to coordinate and assemble baskets for our Gala on May 30. This entails developing a theme around a student-made item, creating a list of contents related to the theme, collecting items/donations, and assembling the baskets at the office. You will receive support from the Gala Committee and Development Department.
